Delete your Local AI Chat account and data

Local AI Chat stores your app profile and conversations on your device. This website cannot access or delete your device data or private cloud files.

Delete inside the app

These steps apply to builds that include Delete Account. If you do not see it, install the updated version when available.

Open Local AI Chat and open the chat menu.
Choose Delete Account. You can also access this option on the model selection screen while signed in.
Read what will be deleted, tap Delete Account, and confirm.
Wait for the completion screen and read any backup cleanup notices.

This removes the app’s local profile and cached identity, chats, saved images, and settings; disables automatic backups; and signs you out. The app attempts to remove app-managed backups from connected storage. If a copy cannot be removed, the completion screen identifies the storage that needs attention.

Downloaded AI models and the Remove Ads purchase are retained. Deletion does not delete your Apple or Google account or issue a purchase refund.

Disconnect Sign in with Apple

After deleting your app data, open device Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Local AI Chat, then choose Delete or Stop Using Apple ID and confirm. This separately removes Apple’s authorization for the app.

Remove remaining backup copies

Use Files to remove any remaining Local AI Chat backup files from iCloud Drive or your chosen backup folder. On Android, check Google Drive’s LocalAIChat Backups folder. Copies you exported or shared elsewhere must be removed separately. Other devices may hold their own local copies.

Local deletion happens during the in-app flow. Cloud deletion and synchronization depend on storage access and connectivity. If the app reports an error, retry; do not assume every copy was deleted.
